Wilson & Co have acted on a statutory ‘buy-out’ by a group of 14 flat under-lessees of the head-leasehold interest in a prestigious London block of flats forming part of a mixed commercial and residential use block. The ‘buy out’ was financed by the management company issuing the participating flat under-lessees with loan instrument certificates for their contributions to the price, to be written down over time by ground rent receipts from the non- participating flat under-lessees. The participating flat under-lessees also benefited from variations to their respective under-lessees to cancel their ground rents.
